Smoke Smell? Need help

Sorry, I don't know if this belongs here but i just recently bought a 03' WRX Impreza. The previous owner was a smoker and the car has a light scent of smoke. Anybody know how to get rid of it for good? And it also has stains on the roof/ceiling of the car (whatever you call it.) Any suggestions to how i could take them out?

Help is greatly appreciated.

I would recommend changing the in-cabin air filter too

It's behind the Glove Box. Check this out: http://www.cars101.com/subaru/airfiltration.html

Tried it, doesnt seem too effective. At this point, i used this scrub thing thats supposed to take out the smoke from the roof and seats. I did that and the smoke smell has pretty mch gone away. Still a slight scent of it though. Im going to try changing the cabin filter.
