LED Domelight
dead time at work, my co workers been on a LED craze changing anything they can in their car to led lights. i decided to give it a try with the domelights.
was going to just fill up the whole board but that'll take too many LEDs and spacing them out evenly just looked too boring so i decided to write out STi.
i had to place them in groups of 4, so the black one is there as a filler after spray painted it with black so it wont light up.
ghetto soldering job and ghetto taping...experimental work. used 1/2 watt 10ohm resistors per 4 LEDs on ground side, no resistor on power side.
i just dremeled out the space the board will go into...i file'ed it down for about 3 seconds and i called it quits because i didnt care for perfect look.
see, cant even see the rough edges with the cover on and can see the "sti" behind cover (as if anyone would notice)
and the final work, its f'ing bright. its like going from halogens to hid(8k) but for the inside.
also i'll be working on version 2 of the gear position sensors, version 2 will be engineered better than the first and it'll be mounted on the right side of the frog eye gauge cluster. version1: https://www.i-club.com/forums/how-tos-installations-192/gear-position-leds-183390/

haha i know i was thinking that but then i thought it'll be TOO bright, i mean, it'll take 40 LEDs instead of 24 i used. those who've seen my car noticed right away how bright it was...imagine with 40...GODDAM!
would anyone be in the market for it? i'm willing to make some more if people are interested, make some extra cash on the side
of course i can do it in "STi" or any other varieties as long as its not too complicated.
