Question installing aftermarket exhaust to stock dp (question)

Ok so i was installing my Invidia G200 cbe, which sounds AMAZING! btw, and i was about to bolt it to the stock dp when i notice the stock dp has this sorta rounded inner piece that spins freely but doesnt pull out easily (or possibly not at all). I guess it has something to do with a "gasket" affect for the stock cbe but it doesnt look pretty when i forced the bolts thru the holes and tightened them as much as possible.
My question is can i remove that inner piece on the stock dp? i would be able to put the invidia gasket they gave me onto it like it was intended if it were off.
This is most likely temporary seeing as someone in santa clara is selling an invidia catless dp and i want it haha. but i want to know just in case its sold already

did you try to take the doughnut off and use the aftermarket gasket that came with the invidia?
drive it around see if you have a leak. if not then your set!

gud luck!

leak

i havent heard any leaks yet with the forced installation against the doughnut without the gasket. but my car is back in the shop, i hopefully get it back this coming week.
they think they finally found the problem after spending half the time ive owned it in the shop and so now they have to wait til my warranty kicks in (this coming week) and so ill i have to pay is the deductible....i know a couple techs there so ill ask and see if they can just take the doughnut off while they have it on a lift so its easier. i cant wait to get it back, ill order my hids and get the dp for it then

remember, dont put a baby in your belly to put german engineering in your driveway...its wrong (sorry the commercial popped up haha)

I took the donut gasket off the stock dp and put it on the cobb dp! no leaks so far... just use a flat head screw driver and pry it off
