help with a/c idler pulley

if someone can get me a good picture or a diagram of the idler pulley and the bolt that attaches the idler pulley for the a/c that would be awesome!

offtopic but can anyone help me. my ac clutch wheel doesnt kick in when i turn my ac on. anyone know what the problem is?

Could be a bad high pressure cut out switch. You a/c clutch coil could be going bad/disconnected. Might have a short in the HVAC controls. You can try jumping the low pressure cut out switch to see if the clutch will kick on.

The usual cause of the compressor not engaging is a low charge of refrigerant due to a leak.

Thread Revival!

Hi there, can anyone please post pics/instructions of how to replace the Idler Pulley? I don't want the belt to contract and snap me in the face. (seriously)

pulley nut?

From the diagrams, I see three bolts; 1 on the pulley itself, 2 holding the adjuster, and then the tensioner (ok..4 bolts)

He means the one on the back of the pulley - its plastic.

The bolt that goes through the pulley locks it in place on the sliding adjuster bracket. If the long adjuster bolt is turned without first loosening the pulley bolt, the adjuster will not be able to move and the plastic part the adjuster bolt goes through will then break. This is a very common mistake people make when attempting to adjust the belt.
