Hella horn installation

Hello everyone,

I just got my Hella horns not too long ago and noticed that they lacked something.. a wiring harness. Well, since I work with electronics on a daily basis, I decided to make my own. Not to toot my own horn, but it came out very good. I did mine and my buddy's (coastie1983).

To get to the point, if you get a set of Hella's and need help installing or need the extra wiring required, hit me up. No charge. I like to do this type of thing, and not only does it help you (the customer) but it helps me to keep thinking outside the box.

~Chris

PM for help/material **Pics will come soon**

PS- If you need help installing audio systems, let me know. I have experience in that field as well.

I don't see why not. I would first see what I have to work with and then go from there.

I originally posted this for the Hella horns, but I can help with more than just horns. Let me know if you have any electrical work you can use help on. I have years of experience working with electrical systems and electronics. I like what I do and if I can help a fellow subieist, even better! PM me.

Just let me know what date/time would be best for you. Sometime before early to mid August would be best for me. PM me for a meet.

I don't know why people worry about wiring on horns. You unplug the old one and plug the new ones in. Forget the relay. There's already one there.

Yea you can do that.

But then they wont be as loud as they could be. To some that matters, to some it doesnt.

I do believe this was tested before and found to be the same with and without a 2nd relay.

Sometimes the original wiring is too short for where the driver wants the horns and the wiring needs to be modified in some ways. That's where I come in and help out.

The thread I read last (like a week ago, because I just bought some hellas ) it said there was a difference.

But that difference wasnt anything huge. Wiht the 2nd relay they are like 118dc and without it like 113dc...

I can try and find the exact numbers again

I've done it both ways. Measured with dB meter. I saw no difference. As far as the wires go, easy fix. Much easier than wiring up a new harness.
