Anybody know of a good/cheap one for sale? I'm partial to the Yamaha R6, but beggars can't be choosers right?

I think a ZX7R is a bit more bike than I need. I used to ride a CBR600F2 back in the day (bought it new in '93!) and I never felt like I needed more power. I'm more of a "wind in the hair" than a "knee to the ground mid-wheelie moto GP" rider.

The F4 is nice, but I wouldn't get a F4i. The seat is super uncomfortable. I've always liked R6's too. Seating is kinda inbetween that of the GSX-R and the CBR. I REALLY like the new R1's tho. Really a sweet looking bike.

Thanks for the tip on the Honda seat. I'm an old man so I need at least a modicum of comfort. Yeah... I'd love to have an R1. But this is sort of a cost saving maneuver. The WRX is going up for sale soon and I'll buy a bike and a decent beater...

I have an 01 F4i and the seat is pretty comfortable. Maybe because of the riding position and my stature. I rode an r6 for a while and it hurt getting off. Cramped with my thighs almost by my stomach. And i'm not that tall. I have that F4i which i am putting on the market ... sad to but have to... and i'll let it go for about $4800. Too bad its on the Big Island though. Good luck is2scooby

it all depends what kind of a bike you want. i used to own an F4i and its a good all-around bike. the seating position is comfortable but the seat is a little hard for long rides. easy to deal with if you get an aftermarket seat like corbin. the r6 and gixxer is more of a track bike with a more agressive riding position and a little more power. they are also a little more expensive. if you're a beginner you should get an f4i. also just to let you know that theres a difference with the f4 and the f4i. f4i has fuel injection and the f4 has the old carburetor.
