ps, I'd still get the STi over the Skyline. Reasons? IMO, the Skyline is too big and heavy. Sure, it's got a monster of a motor and a robust drivetrain, but I'd still prefer the lighter, more tossable Impreza. I seriously believe I can get a well sorted out Impreza around a track quicker than I could w/a Skyline.

In addition to what Josh just said....four doors. I know it sounds lame to a lot of people but honestly, I'm sure everybody can think of a time that having a "sedan" came in handy. Even if you're a person without friends or nobody wants to get a ride from you, the sedan is nice for loading stuff up. Why buy a sports car AND a "family" car when you can have a "two-in-one"? Isn't that why the Forester is so awesome?

That's true . The main reason why I purchased an sti . Able to pick-up the family and do spirited driving on the weekend's . I believe I'm starting to graduate from that high horsepower crowd over to the just having a blast driving my subbie on the weekend's .

well...the 4 door GT-R's are a limited production by Autech...Very rare.
For durability....the Skyline...hands down. Better transmission and differentials.
Plus the car is alot easier to work on (as far as basic maintenance, plugs for one)
I'm still biased towards Nissan (JDM) though.

Bang for the buck, I'd pick the STi any day (U.S. legal configuration, US dollars).
I even think the WRX STi used in the video is the lesser torque 2.0 Liter Japanese homologation version. I think they only bring the 2.5Liter STi to the US.
The STi is much lighter than the GTR. The GC8 body was even lighter than that...
