WRC Transformer.......
Availability Update -- we have taken all the orders of this great Transformer that we can reasonably fill! Therefore we are unable to accept any more orders. Don't worry -- if you have a pre-order in you should have no problems receiving your Smokescreen when he arrives. Our retail department will keep you up to date on any changes!
Coming at the end of September! This a car-to-robot Transformer in the tradition of their previous releases from the last two decades, but it has two important differences: (1) It's a very realistic rendering of an actual, current WRC rally car, the Subaru Impreza WRC 2003, with markings for Tommy Makinen (#8) and Petter Solberg (#7) who actually are racing it in competition. (2) When it's a car, it has none of the toy-like qualities of previous offerings, instead being a gorgeous display model with complete engine and cockpit detail!
Important note about the coloring of this product: This item is shipped from the manufacturer in random assortments of different colors. Unfortunately, all these variations are treated as the same product for distribution purposes. The different types that are produced are shown in the photos on this page. Because of this, it is impossible for HobbyLink Japan to handle the individual types separately, and we cannot promise customers exactly which version they will receive. Please place your order for this item only if you are willing to receive any one of the different types that are shown on this page.

I hate the new transformers.. nothing like the original ones! All made out of diecast!
46.30 for a plastic Transformer seems alot.. now that I think about it $30 for a Diecast one back in the day was well worth it...

Perhaps it'll be a toss up of getting #7 Petter Solberg or #8 Tommy Makinen. Sounds like the one from Hasbro will be cheaper (price and material).
