yo dan. just pm me the ideas or if you need my #. not sure if i can help with your ideas as my car seems to cooperate less with the more things i give it. with the exception of the AP. at the next scca, i'll see if cobb fixed the STi ecu problem as i seem to be the only one who has hit it numerous times and the hardest here. i don't get to go out to the drag strip. shouldn't matter if you are a little rusty, your trap speed should show the hp gain although the torque would show on the launch(if the tires hold at the crappy surface).

so hopefully you'll be draggin on friday night huh? if not, sat it should be here.

okey. txs stealth is on w/ stock muff.

tried to switch maps from stage 1 to stage 2 and was like WTF, why is this not changing the map. seems like the preloaded 2 stage 1's and 2 stage 2's are BASE maps!! not freaking real maps, so i ended up redoing my base map to stage 2 91 oct. took it perfectly and good to go. just gotta check the boost to make sure it isn;t spiking too high now.

note: again, after redoing the base map, the car had a slight pause starting for th first time again. after that it is fine.

grrrrrr.

just had the cel light w/ blinky f'ing cruise con light while driving on the freeway normally. code 420, cleared the biatch and all is good again.

info on problem here
http://www.wrxforum.com/cgi-bin/ulti...=000040#000000

seems like my thinking cobb added a cel eliminator in their program might not be correct. why??why didn't they add it to the programming for stage 2? you would figure if their stage 2 requires a cat section mod, that they would correct a well known annoying cel.

F,F.F...F. oh well. at least the car feels like it hauls mucho butt.

Hmmm. My P420 code went away with my reflash. Barry, you still have the silver wagon? Or did you join the STi cult?

yep, freaking code came on again today. kinda getting irritated at it already.

map is stage 2 91oct. i think they forgot because it really wouldn't make sense to have the stage w/o a fix for the light.

I was fianlly able to take a look at my boost levels, and at WOT in the higher gears i hit about 18psi, but it drops off real quick and goes down to about 12ish. i also dont get fuel cut either. whats the normal levels you are supposed to see?

read that the boost level was supposed to be 16.8 +/- .5

BUT that was at stage2. info was from people calling cobb and asking. are you using a boost guage or the AP to read the boost?

Im using the AP. Its hard to read when you are solo in the car. i gotta have someone else look at it while im driving somewhere.

AP does have some CEL codes removed (ie the high EGT and the Cat inefficiancy)... However they can only gaurentee that they CEL won't come up 98% of the time.

I for one have experienced only the EGT CEL a few times ina a week then I did a hard reset on my ECU (remove the battery terminal and pushed on the brake to clear the memory) then after that it went away.

yep downpipe went in on sat day w/ lack of cat and the light came on that night. then another time yesterday. 2 times in 2 possible days so far. so i should have 98 cel free days coming up within the 100 days from this past sat? all codes were cat ineff. hopefully the ecu will learn the problem out.
