I haved slaped on my WRX wing for my wingless wrx but dont know which is positive and which is negative on the 3rd brake light wires. Does any one know what is what? For the wiring on the wing, wires are already indicated which is positive(red wire) and which is negative(black wire) on the wing. Ok don't take this the wrong way but why are you trying to tap into the 3rd brake light?
For the factory wing there is a harness that is already residing in your trunk for this purpose. It is on the passenger side behind the grey material lining your trunk. if you have the harness that comes with the wing when you purchase it then you would just plug it straight in. Unfortunately by the way you're writing this it seems as though you don't have it.
I'm not sure since it's been a while since I've done my wing myself but the harness might have a black and red wire as well.
