Why? A Evo story
I was driving diamond head bound on the H-1 after driving onto the ewa on- ramp. Right before the Waikele off ramp I see this evo on the side of the road (nice one w/ carbonfiber hood) w/ hazard lights blinking w/ driver inside. I was thinking of stopping to the side and ask if he needs help or a ride. After looking in the rear view mirror he merges on the H-1. He takes the Waikele cut-off as I did. He stayed on my back. As I was about to take a right by the Golden Coin Rest (w/ right blinker on) he did a quick left cut and punched it as hard as he could reving hard w/ bov going off (mind you in a 25mhp zone and w/ cars front and back and gave a stink eye like he was upset.
Boy, kinda sad w/ since evo and subie drivers has a common love for performance and wrc history. I'll still see evos as good cars though despite some drivers.

thats one reason why this import community is being hated by cops and the community, when alot of us import enthusiasts are in it for the love of modifying our cars and just cruising it on the streets. like me lol....
I love evos but hate the stupid drivers that drive it like its a game.

I know, damn military ricers!! I see so many of them and it's just too funny watching them. I've seen some JACKED up Evos from the mainland cuz those guys have no idea how to mod their cars and just slap together random parts lol

I have to disagree about military owners acting up. Myself and Brewsky79 mod our cars in good taste and we dont drive our cars like we stole them. We are held to a much higher standard than civilians. If we get in trouble for something we get tried as civilians and under the UCMJ (Uniform Code Of Military Justice). So like tough-noob said dont bash all the military guys.

I am not bashing Military guys...I am in the Military and I have been in the Military for almost 8 years. I did not say all Military. But when I do talk to most military guys about cars, the first thing they ask is how much horses you pushing? Cʻmon man. we all know that is a untold secret until we watch each others car get tuned.

It's true the military community has a higher concentration of douchers driving nice cars. I blame it on deploying so much. If you give a guy enough money to buy a nice car its bound to happen. The truth is I know a couple guys I work with that have Evos and STI that know nothing about their car or its history. They just bought it because it is "fast". As far as driving it like madmen, I am going to have to agree that's not necessarily at a higher level in the military because they do take it seriously. When a normal person gets pulled over for speeding they pay the ticket. When we get pulled over for speeding, we pay a ticket, sit in front of our superiors, and then who knows, maybe stand at the front gate holding a do not speed sign on a Sat afternoon. Just my .02
