When you post in a thread it doesn't change color anymore when someone else post something new in it?

There is. You can click on that link AFTER you open up the topic. It's 2 steps now, but still not impossible.

The lines of text (behind the orange block) highlight from bottom to top if there are new posts in the thread... REALLY HARD TO SEE, THOUGH!
