Sean,
I'll be down later today. I'll give you call first.
You know I defer to you on anything automotive, but I could you explain to me again, why temporarily putting the WBO2 in the existing, factory rear O2 bung wouldn't be a good idea?
I don't think that the thing is working for me, anyhow...I mean, I think I fixed it, but isn't the purpose of it no longer useful? Or is that the front one in the uppipe?
Your humble, slow mother****er,
Pat

Pat so I take it no gulch today?
But if you have no bung in your downpipe, taking out the rear 02 is your only choice. You will throw a CEL, but it's not detrimental to performance at all. That is exactly how Shiv tuned some of our cars that didn't have an aftermarket bung.
Now ideally, the bung should be placed closer to the turbo, about <12" from the turbo... post turbo. The sensor works under an ideal temp that is xx inches away from the turbo. The farther away, the slower the readings and possibly slightly less accurate.

I believe that it or the front are already causing a cell.
I had a dangling and cut o2 sensor wire that I repaired. I then got some OBDII codes pulled by Tim (6 of them), and cleared. But about 2 days later, had another CEL. No idea. Don't care. It's just another thing for me to get pissy about.
Good point about placement, though. I do plan on getting a bung welded, it's just finding the time to make an appointment.
Hopefully this week.

as far as the rear o2 on the pde downpipe, you Can use it, ... I just don't think it's a good idea to keep using it(it's mounted horizontally, ot good for the sensor), plus, doesn't it have some 'fake cat' thingy in there to help from getting the cat inefficiency code??
Rexstang got his car tuned by Shiv using that bung though.
