Who has seen the McLaren SLR 722 here yet?

Yes the Veyron is faster in those aspects however, having 350 less horsepower than the Veyron, the 722 clocked almost exactly the same time as the Veyron at the 'Ring.
The thing is that they are two completely different cars. The 722 is RWD, the Veyron is AWD. The Veyron has 16 cylinders 8.0L turbocharged the 722 has 8 cylinders 5.5L supercharged. Although they are both considered hypercars, many people consider the 722 to be more of a pure car than the Veyron which is basically a speed machine. The cost between a Veyron(1.4mil) vs the 722 Roadster S(550k) is a big difference too. A v8 car that destroys V12's and hangs with W16's, sign me up.
Which car is nicer? I'd take a non stickered 722 easily. That doesn't exist though since those who own a 722 don't want to butcher it's value removing it's horrid decals.

When the SLR got chopped earlier this year, MB then was left with too much time on their hands and what became of it later was the SLS. It is technically a replacement, albeit a classier version. It is designed as a spiritual successor to the 300SL Gullwing if I remember correctly.

SLR < SLR 722 < SLR 722S (as far as street legal production cars)
You can fit the SLR roadster and the SLR sterling moss somewhere in there too. They're more like different versions rather than "better" versions.
The SLS isn't necessarily a "higher" version, but a successor to the 300SL gullwing as BoOm stated.
