Yeah, that Veyron in Hawaii got trumped. There is a black 722 in Cali plates that was getting a safety check at MB of Honolulu here as well as switching to HI plates. I didn't have the phone with me(rushing to pick up parts after HGEA vote) so no ****ing pics or it didn't happen. I'm sure someone else has seen it.

Damn, it was well worth my money picking up those AMG parts to see this beast.

Anyone else seen it yet? I'm guessing it just got off the island.

Oh...and it doesn't sound that amazing.

That car I saw was a 722 Roadster S. Not just any regular 722.

Is this McLaren faster than a Veyron?

Well, what kinda faster are you talking about? 0-60, 1/4mile, top speed? I believe the Veyron is faster in all those aspects, but not 100% on that.

Yes the Veyron is faster in those aspects however, having 350 less horsepower than the Veyron, the 722 clocked almost exactly the same time as the Veyron at the 'Ring.

The thing is that they are two completely different cars. The 722 is RWD, the Veyron is AWD. The Veyron has 16 cylinders 8.0L turbocharged the 722 has 8 cylinders 5.5L supercharged. Although they are both considered hypercars, many people consider the 722 to be more of a pure car than the Veyron which is basically a speed machine. The cost between a Veyron(1.4mil) vs the 722 Roadster S(550k) is a big difference too. A v8 car that destroys V12's and hangs with W16's, sign me up.

Which car is nicer? I'd take a non stickered 722 easily. That doesn't exist though since those who own a 722 don't want to butcher it's value removing it's horrid decals.

Closest thing we have to a clean one will be a regular non 722 SLR.

Boy I bet you the 722 makes panties drop faster too.

It's a convertible, so I'm going to have to agree with you!

I've seen a 722 before, but not in Hawaii.
Would love to see a SLR 722 S.
I thought 722 SLRs were not legal in USA.

You're probably thinking the 722 SLR GT. That's not legal because it's a race car.

Yea, I know about the GT and I KNOW that's not street legal.
However, the 722 never went through any sort of DOT testing since they're not sold in the USA. Doesn't that make it illegal in itself?
