Check around and make sure you're getting the coverage that's important to you, because price is not everything. I work at a body shop and can assure you that not all insurance companies are created equal. Some will cover your after market wheels and suspension, others will not. Some will use after market collision parts in your repairs, some will not. With that said, I'm State Farm insured if that means anything to you. I'll pm you my agents name and phone number if you want to try and contact him.

^ Thats why you tone the coverage down a little. With the no fault insurance you can tone down some of the bodily injury stuff if i am not mistaken. From what i understand your insurance covers any bodily injury that happened to you and if you injured the other person theirs covers their injuries. SOMEONE is bound to correct me but thats what i got from what i read. Soooooooo since your military you can tone it down cause the military will fix you up a bit. Just a thought to save a little cash.

There was a thread created with a similar topic before.
The OP created the thread a few years ago, but it's a good read. Maybe you can find a few tips in there.

State Farm is pretty good, they take good care of me and the premiums are good. I made over $2500 in claims last year (with $0 deductible) and they still refunded me $100 worth of premiums at the end of the year lol. and they are ALWAYS helpful whether its my agent's office or the national call center. I would recommend all day long. Been with the company for almost 10 years and I will keep them as long as I own cars.

As a civilian, I had State Farm but had to keep 1 of my cars there to get the home/car multiple discount.
I called and got better coverage with Liberty mutual and at similiar or cheaper price.

Since you are military USAA all the way you cannot find better coverage for less...
It is one of the few places where you can really tell being a member of the military have gotten you a real discount

USAA had the best prices but they outsource motorcycle insurance outside (forgot the company).
I have State Farm. In the past, they covered aftermarket parts for my car. The coverage for the motorcycle is another story. They did not cover any (zero, nada, not even the $80 windscreen) aftermarket parts for my 2010 GSXR 1000. Was out $7k from non covered aftermarket parts and was hit hard with depreciation.
Lesson learned: Don't wreck a 3 month old bike.
