Check Whiteline's FAQs. This is a no-brainer mod if you're going to track the car or even aggressively drive it. I don't know of anyone who is semi-serious that doesn't have this mod. The ALK comes in comfort, sport, and race.

Gruppe-s has a whole bunch of Whiteline stuff now. Pretty much everything in their catalog for Subies. This isn't the Whiteline piece, but it's the exact same thing (Perrin PSRS). It shows where it goes. http://perrinperformance.com/products/sti/psrs.htm I have that on my car. I don't notice anything on turns since I don't push it laterally too much, but on acceleration it tracks straighter. IDK, it might be my Whiteline steering rack bushings, but the Perrin PSRS really increased NVH in my steering wheel.

Do NOT buy the Perrin PSRS. It has a whole following of owners with various problems. Do a search on NASIOC and you'll see what I mean. There are owners that have given up on the Perrin and replaced it with Whiteline. I hate to dismiss all Perrin products, but I consistently see threads about problems with their products and lack of customer support after the sale. I personally had terrible experiences with Perrin, never again. Whiteline is the complete opposite. Great products and great customer support. You don't see threads with people complaining about Whiteline products. Period.

You have made a wise choice. I would recommend the comfort or sport model. The race model is just what the name implies, even hard-core types don't run it on the street.

I personally have the comfort. The comfort kit was made due to one person's opinion that the sport kit was a bit too rough. The thread is on NASIOC. Whiteline listened and offered their ALK with the "comfort" option. The person that thought the sport kit was too rough said the comfort kit afforded all of the performance without the roughness. That's why I purchased the comfort model. If that doesn't speak volumes about Whiteline's customer service, nothing will.
