Where should I live?!?
alright i've been posting here and there for a few months now so some of you may know that im gonna be stationed at hickam starting february. so im gonna need a place to live, but i dont really know where would be good. and im married, so here are the things im looking for in a place to rent...

- Must have a garage (to protect the sti)
- gotta be at least 1000 sq. ft.
- hopefully a pretty good neighborhood
- not too far to be driving back and forth to hickam everyday.
- oh yeah my budget... under $2200 in rent

i've been lookin around and found a few nice places in ewa beach and mililani and some even in waiane but thats pretty far considering traffic and everything. i just wanna know what you guys think and if you know of good places that may not be listed.. any help would be appreciated. thanks guys

p.s. i been lookin on ahrn.com awesome site for military members looking for places to live.

^^ haha, air force gives me housing allowance of $2035 plus cost of living so around there i should be able to get a decent place.

all that for under 2200 and near Hickam, goodluck with that. look to add an additional four to five hundred if you want a 1000 plus sq ft and a garage. as far as neighborhoods Mililani is nice it just seems to rain alot.

out of all those things i listed being near to hickam is probably the least important, i just need a garage and want a decent size with at least 2 bedrooms

hawaii has its share of garages but i see more car ports then garages if anything

yikes, $2,200 for rent for only 1000 square feet?!

I didn't know rent was THAT HIGH nowadays!

My wife and I pay $850 for 1200 feet with garage 2/2
