Dude! Sorry to hear about that. That sucks! I guess they are trick *** *****es everywhere, eh?

I like my DEI Sidewinderr alarm. My friend used to work with special-T tinting and did the install for me. So I'm sure they could hook it up.

It may not be the best, but it's a deterrent and that coupled with some other form of security like a club or something would work well I reckon.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your ride. I've only heard good things about Special T... no personal experience, though. As for the gun... Sports Authority has shotguns, and Lowes has hacksaws...

3-inch slugs will always make someone think twice about jacking your car.

Seriously, though. just get the alarm and leave the shooting to the professionals. If I had a gun, there would be many many dead cats and angry neighbors around.

sorry to hear about that guy. as for alarms to be completely honest with you all alarms are pretty much the same with the exception of extra features ie remote start remote windows etc etc.... it only take a few seconds to bust the window pop the hood and pull the siren out. after that they have all the time in the world to get your car. especially nowadays when people here car alarms go off they just ignore them unless they are the owner or friend. I would say get an alarm with pager that way you can atleast get a chance to beat the crap out of that guy but also hide a fuel pump kill switch somewhere. or if you could afford gps that would be great too. but remember if they really want your car they will get it at any cost. sorry to be so negative its just the plain truth. good luck

the fuel pump kill switch is a pretty cheap and effective solution. Just place a switch somewhere "secret" (the bottom of your armrest-cubby comes to mind) and then you have a bit of extra protection. It's a quick flip of the switch for you, but for someone else who's begging for time, it's an extra hassle to find it.

"Why won't the car start? I disabled the alarm and hotwired it, but now it doesn't work. I gotta get out of here"

Just a thought, though.

Again, sorry to hear that, but don't give up on your scoob just yet.

If it makes you feel better, I too had an attempt on my car being jacked, but fortunately, I caught one of the two ******. The one that got away was lucky as fock; he pulled a knife on me and I lost him some where at the back of a hotel. His stupid friend ran into the hotel where he ran to a security guard and yelled for help. If it wasn't for the security guard, I would have squeezed his neck until his eyes literally turned red!

So the bad guys don't always get away!

another thing to install is a alarm back up battery and a couple of painmaker sirens in the cabin. they don't cost too much and will irritate the person jacking your car to hopefully leave.

Special T all the way. Tell em i-club sent you and they will do you up. Had 3 alarms, tint and the dvd system installed there. They rock. Efren will do the alarm install.

Car Info: STI
ISLAND SOUND

A lot of people like DEI (Viper, Python, etc) but I'm a true believer in Clifford. And not the new Clifford Matrix stuff.....thats just a viper (since DEI bought Clifford not long ago)....go with G4 stuff (Intelliguard, AvantGuard).

You also have to take into account the installer plays a huge role in how good your alarm will be. Do they hide the brain high in the dash? Are all wires hidden and taped/heat shrinked to look stock? Where do they mount the siren?

I had my STI done recently so I can give you more info if you want. you should talk to as many people as possible. IM me
