Where can I score a JDM EJ20...
...Version 1-4 to be exact. I have a MY93 Impreza that I'm planning to convert into a WRX some time. I talked to Titan Motorsports, so far they only had offered Version 5 and 6 with tranny, ECU and harness for $5500-$5700ish. The reason I'm looking for the older versions is because of the fact that my MY93 car is OBD-I, and it would make things simpler to swap thatn an OBD-II. Anyone got suggestions where I can get it? Mahalos.

titan motorsports i would reccomend only 1 guy there, but i think he quit. keep us informed on this project....i know shaggadelic would be interested to see how it turns out (he got a 94 L i believe) oh and go to the vendors section and check out some of those guys the V1-4 would be much harder to find i imagine..

heck ya its worth it, especially if its going into a gc8. for under 2k you cant go wrong.. jdm is rated tad bit more hp and tq. cast pistons and higher compression... also has that avcs; which needs the jdm ecu to work with.

thanks guys, appreciate the help. I had a 94 Impreza that looks like a wingless 2.5RS, its not mine anymore, I sold it. Im sure you guys see it around. I had the exterior converted to version 5/6, repainted rally blue with carbon fiber hood. Its still a FWD, and was a WRX in progress for three years. The guy who owns it now doesnt know jack about cars and has f***ed it up. So Im getting back up there again with this GC8 that I have now, it might be a while but I know Ill get there. Ill defintely chek out these places. thanks again. Joe
