I would be good going with 18x8.5 or 9 with coilovers and camber bushings then right?

As for the wheel fitment, I'm not super familiar with the new body style WRX's. But, from what I've read, fitting 8.5's and 9's shouldn't be too crazy. Depending on the offset and tire size, I'm pretty sure you could get away with just a roll if anything. I would only buy the camber bushings if you completely rolled your rears flat and there was still rubbing issues. The thing to keep in mind is that there's so many factors with wheel fitment. Ride height, fender work, tire sizes.......etc.

For what it's worth, my first set of semi-aggressive fitted wheels were 18x9's with 235/40's on my '04 wagon. The car was fairly low and I got away with basically rolled rears and a little camber. Totally do-able on a newer style WRX.

per what Brandon said, it really depends on how low you want to go. I could fit my 17x9+35 on a stock body stock suspension STi (it did NOT look too pretty) and not rub too bad but once I went lower, I needed the camber adjustment.
