Whats the gas mileage?

Sounds like a handfull of you guys were lucky enough to get an STi! CONgrats!

I saw the window sticker Yeeman posted, but it didn't say the city + highway mileage.

ANy ideas what it is? What are you guys getting?

ALso, I saw the MSRP. Any idea what the invoice is?

thanks!

Of course your only asking for peace of mind, but any true performance enthusiasts shouldn't really care if said sports sedan is eco friendly.

I bought the car before they even put a window sticker on.

Gas seems to be going down around the same amount as my VS1 WRX Wagon. I generally get 18-20 MPG on that car with mostly city driving, lots of hills and a somewhat heavy foot.

I'm still in the breakin period..

oh yes, eco friendly, yes, yes...that's me!!!

But if it was getting like 12 or so I might have to consider...with what I am paying for an STi I wouldn't be abel to afford gas!

but 25!...wow...that inline with the regular WRX...liek you said though, thats while keeping the rpms under 4k.

keep me posted on that second tank...

Wow... 25mpg. I've NEVER seen mpg's that good in my WRX, even during my break-in period. Of course, I would go as close to 4k as possible with every gear change... I also have a lead foot. I usually get ~20 with it now.

Yeah I got 25 each tankful, I was amazed and I do like to use the boost. But I also did a lot of driving from town to North Shore so that is a bit of freeway use. This second tank will probably be more realistic as I am a bit more aggressive...

I got 18.5 MPG on my last tank. That is mostly city driving with AC on and keeping a light foot on the gas.
That is very close to what my VS1 wagon gets with normal everyday driving.

Dave must doing a lot more freeway driving...

Just filled up again and got 22.5mpg this time, including the driving to and from the track which was more than spirited... I mostly drive from St Louis Heights around Diamond Head up to Kailua then to North Shore on the Kam most of the time. So its pretty varied. Must be my mad fuel economy driving skillz or something...

I get more than that when I actually keep it UNDER 4k

Wait until after you break it in. There goes your high mileage.

True... True... Shortshifting and just cruising around aint the real deal... Looking for some single digit mpg later...

I'm on my third tank now....got 22-23mpg for the first two. This better go up after a few thousand miles because this is during very conservative driving in very little traffic (I drive over H3 everyday....you can't imagine how hard it is to resist the temptation once or twice).

lol

you guys are sooooo in the single digits once you're broke in.

I drove Dave's.... 15-20% throttle is all you get to really use before it's time to shift and stay under 4k. I tried to give it a goose to see what it would do under 4k and you couldn't move your foot fast enough to get very far before 4k RPM. That thing revs so quick!

Hope you get a good job soon Dave! I'll be next to you at the pumps, though, once this kit is in (Sat night, Sunday morn)

Dave,
Tell me you are close to hitting 1K?
