I'm 20 with good coverage but I get a military discount and an "good student" discount but it's still that high. Damn, uninsured people driving up my insurance.

My previous car was a 90 Mitsu Eclipse GSX and I was only paying $360 6 months with $250 deductible,...I guess new car makes it more expensive although I was hoping all the air bags and Subies low theft rate would keep the rates down,...

Going to have to pay $600 at State Farm till 2006 when that single "accident" clears my record,..Funny how they can pin it on you even though the other driver "hits or runs" into you...It was out of my control and yet I gotta pay the $800 savings I couldve saved over 2 yrs,....

People over 60 should retake written and driver's tests,..my opinion,...Some just have degraded facilities,..And this coming from a nurse aid and carehome operator,..

You'll think differently when you are that old. I know that when I am 60 I still want to be driving as hard as ever.

then again, you'll think differently when you have loved ones, children, or passengers in the car with you and you see irresponsible or indept drivers making turns or cutting into your lane without looking cause their age doesnt allow them to turn their heads to look or cause of bad vision, judgement, waning capabilities,...etc,..

Im not bashing the elderly, but there comes a point where people need to realize that an automobile is not just transportation, but a 3-4k pound sledgehammer,..and it can cause damage and ruin lives,...Nowadays, if you have a license and need to renew, you pop in the DMV, pay your fee, take your pic, and you're off,..Never mind your vision is now blurred by glaucoma or other,..

Then you should be OK with a retest...

I actually think the age should be 65 not 60, because there are too many old people that can't see worth crap and it shows when they drive.

By the time that I am 65 people should be living pretty well until they are about 80. If that's true then I don't want the hassle of taking a test. Most people would be unable to pass the driving test right now if they took it. I was just in the BMV line yesterday here, and not one person out of 15 could pass the test. I wonder if I could.

i'm with gdogg on this.... and WISH i could complain that $600-900 every 6 months is expensive...

2300/6months (for an 02 wrx & 00 rav4) now with Geico

2 accidents last year in oct, nov.. speeding ticket in jan.

1reguL8NSTi -- that seems high for a clear record, but being 20 yrs old with an STi ... you're a lucky *** anyways

Damn the man and his rules. It's cool though. I'm willing to pay it because I love my car.
