What are you paying for insurance?

Looking to get insurance for my car and wondering if Im being "fkd" even though I have a pretty clean record (last speeding tk >4yrs, accidents>10yrs etc),...No life insurance or homeowners but have multiple car,..Im 35 yrs,...Yup getting old, feeling and looking young,..

State farm is quoting me $600/6months coverage w/$500 deductible on comprehension (theft, flying debris, etc),..

What are your 6 months costs or who else is better? Allstate, Geico, Progressive?? You'd think State Farm would do better for me as whole family is with them and I got a clean record too.

I have three cars, 1 car paid off, all three cost me $1189 a year with three drivers.

I pay close to that (little less) with State Farm and I have been with them my entire driving life.

I really don't know if I will change or not? I am sure when my contract is up here on the island I will stick with State Farm so I don't think that I want to change just to save a little when I know that when I relocate (assuming I have to) the price will drop.

Now here's an interesting question as Geico seems to have the cheapest rate,..

Learning frommy family members who seems to get into accidents or get tickets,..State Farm always cut a check or got car(s) fixed quick and with no problems and they get back on the road quick,...

How good is Geico with getting things done after an accident or cutting a check to get car(s) fixed?? Also, with comprehension coverage, will it cover theft of aftermarket parts too with Geico? State Farm just wanted receipts or pics as proof,...

Having a new car, accidental coverage isnt a concern for me,..its the vandalism, theft, and other stuff not in my control Im worried about,..

thanks

Dang Howler,.. I want that $300 6 month coverage, but I guess you're a longtime customer with multiple cars?

I got a quote from Geico for $442.10 6 months with $250 deductible,..

Only thing is, with State Farm, they would cover aftermarket parts like stereo/rims/speed parts if I had receipts or pics,..Does this bother you Howler with "your awesome lookin" car??

Shiiitttteeee,..

Just when I thought I could get $370 6/months thru Geico, I forgot about an accident that occurred last year but not my fault, though "seen" that way,..Guess I forgot cause it wasnt in my own car, but my girlfriend's CRX....

I was the driver in my gf car and it happened at that infamous Pearlridge 4th floor parking exit (where you go park to go see movies, abouve Ross's) by that furniture store (scan design; or higher up past Sizzler's).

We went to movie and leaving parking structure,..I needed to go uphill towards Kam Drive in so I needed to turn left,...I entered the 2 lanes (that are going downwards towards Pali Momi/Sizzler's) and was waiting in the center divide a good 30 secs or more to turn left and go up,..Then my girlfriend and I saw a Green Camry heading down towards me, we had enough time to say "That ******* isnt slowing down!!) ..We saw it coming, it didnt slow down or stop. I even had time to put it in reverse and try and get out of the way, but there was a car behind me trying to exit the parking lot too,..Camry hit me in the front driver bumper and part front fender,..if I didnt reverse a little, wouldve rammed into driver's door and me,..

Crap *** thing is, its my fault cause I was making a left, they had the right of way...Even though old fart couple had "way" long time to slow down or stop as I was in the center divide a long time and they had clear view of my gf car a good 100ft or more,..But being old, slow-*** reaction,..They got out not knowing what went on,...looked to be in their 70's,...

Now, even thru Geico, they want $740 6 months with 5% discount next year till its wiped off my record in 2006 (3 yrs),..

So Im stuck with State Farm, unless they didnt know about this "accident" either,...

that sucks. try a lesser known auto insurance. my mom has island insurance or something like that. they might be able to give you something cheaper. i doubt it but i would try.
