What size tires are you running on stock wheels?
Wanting to know what size if you changed out the stock tires are people running. Is anybody running a bigger tire than stock on their WRX or STI? I am planning on putting one size bigger than stock on my stock STI wheels. I was thinking 235/40/17..They won't be used all the time I am giving somebody a beater car and he said he would buy me some tires for my stock wheels.

225/50/16's on my stock wrx wheels. Little bit of a bulge, but a HUGE difference from the old RE-92's.
I'm not sure how wide your stock wheels are, but I'd bet 235's will be fine.

I'm running 225/50/16 on my WRX stockers as well. I've heard of folks going up to 245 on the STi stockers, but I can't remember the width ratio at the moment... maybe it was 35? Ah, nah, can't remember

I just ordered that same size today for my WRX Stockers too! Thanks for reminding me that I could go wider!
So excited! Buying the new Fuzion tires for a SUPER SUPER GOOD PRICE!

Hi Everyone...looks like you folks have the hook up for tires...I'm in the same boat...2004 STI...looking to get new tires
235x45x17...Looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport...kind of pricey though....$211-$15 rebate / tire = $196/ea including installation, road hazard, and lifetime tire rotation and repair....yes, it is a Costco deal....This deal is good until Oct.31
I would go with the ES100's or similar if the price were good.
Thanks,
Brent

I'm mainly going with the Fuzions because I'm getting a major hookup because of a fellow i-Clubber (who will remain nameless unless he wants everyone calling him). I also heard good reviews on it.
My main considerations were:
1. Need new tires because they're going bald.
2. Wanted better than the stock tires
3. Wanted wider than the stocks
4. Need tires that will last more than a few months...I have other things to spend my money on
