what motor oil

i just wanted to know what kind of motor oil you guys are running...what's good, what's not?

I run Mobil1 synthetic 5-30 after first oil change. always been what i have run, no clue whats better or best.

Amsoil

from what i have read all over i seen a test chart(can't remember where i read it) i heard amsoil is better than mobil 1. but i really don't think it would be that much of a difference.

mobil 1 5w 30-quite avail at almost everywhere, even in the middle of the night at wallmart and shopettes (PX)

hows royal purple? ive used it on my supra with no probs,but how will it run on a 4cyl turbo motor? And how about that lucas oil stabalizer?

i use to put royal purple in my integra. did it make a differece i think so but that stuff is way to expensive.

and there was a noticable difference on a couple cars over royal purple, castrol syn, and mobil 1

.... except, ... don't put it in your tranny!! or you'll regret it! using dino oil in the tranny seems to work out best, ... with maybe the Lucas additive

I've used their engine oil exclusively. Check their site to see the Corvette comparison between Redline and Mobile 1. As for the transmission/rear diff, people have had trouble with the NS, but the Shockproof Redline is getting favorable reviews. Check this thread. I've replaced my stock fluid with it and will see what I think after I bed my brakes in (just got back tonight from TDY).
