what!!! a honda?!

i was cruising at 7-11 on wilder ave last night, just cruising outside of my car. then i see this cgm wrx - dropped, and blitz nur spec exhaust. he goes into the store to buy something. right before he gets into his car, he sees my car and gives the long - double head check stare. as soon as he gets out of the parking lot, he rips it to redline, and i swear, it sounded like a fart-can honda. i was trippin out for a good 10 mins... what do u suppose was wrong with his car?

It was either like mentioned above...or a 2.5 RS with a scoop....OR a ricer that bought a blitz look a like and had "custom" piping made.

headers and straight piping? just a thought-

my friend had headers and full 3" exaust.. and his car sounds remotely like a honda (he has a 04 STi)

That's an interesting thought: sti with headers and a turboback exhaust sounds like a honda, hmmmmmmm. I want to see that one Greg.

Island Style has headers and a turboback and his still sounds like a Suby.

Nowhere near sounding like a fart can.

i think Brent's header is unequal length. he did say the tone got a higher pitch than normal.

equal length headers with make it sound like "a honda with *****" I've seen this too....some guy was parked outside my work so i went to talk to him...said he had headers and some other stuff. when he left he ripped down the street and it sounded ore like a honda, then I remembered that equal length headers do that.

Equal length header.

The unique boxer sound is due to the uneven pulses from the exhaust. Put an equal length header on and it'll sound like other inline-4s.

Saw a white 02-03 WRX once at tracks (I think it was a wrx) and it sounded like a catless civic with a 3" Apex'i N1 Turbo Muffler. No j.oke

Well not quite as bad but the raspiness was there, hohoho..
