About two days ago I drop a friend off in Waikiki and was going to drop my other friend off as well......We headed out of Waikiki on Kalakaua Ave and I made a left on Kapiolani Blvd(The intersection by the convension center)There was three cars In front of me making the left......I followed......and two other cars behind me made the left with me.......the traffic going into Waikiki on Kalakaua was stop at the crosswalk and there was even a pedestrian crossing.....a police offcer came up behind me and pulled me over infront of 24hour fitness......He came up to my window and said "Do you know bout the arrow???" "what arrow???"I didn't know what he was talking about at first.."Your supposed to make a left of the green arrow not the green light"......I was thinking to myself I KNOW for a fact that there was a green arrow.....why would the cars be stop in the other direction....there was even a guy crossing the road!!!!THREE CARS AHEAD OF ME AND TWO CARS BEHIND ME MADE THAT TURN......WHY DID YOU PICK ME OUT OF THE GROUP??? I couldn't tell him that...that wouldn't help me....He told me "take out my lience,registration,proof of insurence,and take out your recon papers I want to check it out"I gave him the papers and he went all over my car from top to bottom...."Your rims don't match the recon paper you have"..."offcer I made an appointment,but the next available appointment is on July 13 at 8 am....I'm in the process in getting the recon up-to-date"..."I DON"T CARE,i'm still going to give you a ticket for your recon" while he was talking to me, another offcer took a razor blade to my rear bumber and cut off my recon sticker.......now i'm thinking to myself....aren't you supposed to ask me to take it off myself, or, get my permission to touch my Fu***n car!!!he took half an hour just to write two tickets!!! he came back and said "please sign these two tickets..one is for turning left on Kapiolani without the arrow and the other is for recon......now that you have no recon,your a target,I suggest you get your recon ASAP"......... WHAT AN A**HOLE!!!!!I sign the two tickets and that last comment he made pissed me the F*** off.....I asked him "did your friend scratched up my rear bumber??" "don't worry about it, he has a custom ride also...."he walked back to his car I looked at the tickets.....He wrote on both tickets that it was given to me on the 20th at 12:30am.. it was 12:15am on the 21st when he pulled me over he got the dates screwed up.....strike one.......on the court date he wrote 18th of july will be my court date.....I called today....it's the 20th of july!!!!!......strike 2........the details on the tickets on why it was given was like HUH?! the recon ticket just said "RECON" the other ticket says "Left on Kapiolani"......strike 3.......During the whole time I was very respectful......I beginning to think that the left turn on Kapiolani ticket was Bu** just to get to my recon.......he must have a thing against modded cars... I feel much better venting this.....let me know what you guys think.....The cops attitude towards me, made me fell like I was in a hate crime.....peace

I'd have started going off at him...that's some BS.
I say complain like crazy to the HPD and get that punk canned. I also say sue them for taking the sticker off without permission.

Actually I've been told many MANY times by different people that cops can actually remove your sticker right there. This is why I'd put the sticker on a metal plate.

Actually now that I realize where you made that turn... I'm pretty sure you can turn left at any time, because I do it too. I don't think you need to wait for the arrow. You might want to check that again and then you can contest the ticket.

not even I enjoy driving in waikiki... even though thats my uncle's beat.... there are a lot of eager cops out there. every time i'm there i drive like i'm escorting the pope.

I think that ****ing pig needs his *** kicked just another reason why people dislike the police..Go to court and tell the judge that you fell that you were segragated because of the vehicle you drive you were in a group of cars making the same turn you were and you were sigled out
