so my wife was un-loading our son and noticed a puddle inside of the back passenger side carpet. I unbolted part of my seat and raised the carpet up and it's air drying right now. It was seriously a huge puddle. Anyone know what could cause this???

 

Has it rained
recentl? Wash your car recently? Was it just water?

yes i do park my car outside (it was just water) and my weather stripping is still good to go. but i'm gonna run outside and check again...the carpet is almost dry...just the padding underneath is still wet. I could seriously let a gold fish swim in this puddle it was so big

 

I bought a used Renault 5 months and had the same problem. I had a lot of water on the passenger side because the 3 holes that were supposed to drain water flowing from the windshield were full of cr*p and other kind of stuff. Water rise and get through the "waterwall" sealant thing.

 

Whoa! I had the same thing happen to me back in August I just soaked it up and it never came back... It was a huge puddle too. I thought maybe I had a leak from my ic sprayer but the lines don't even run through there... What a mysterious puddle!

 

sure you didnt leave a bottle of water or the ol camel back in there?

i thought my wife dropped her water bottle back there cuz we were on a road trip but it was waaaay more than a bottle of water's worth...

 

the carpet smells like crap...so i just bought some blue STi carpet off NASIOC.:RockOn - not mine:
i let it dry...and it hasn't returned. i am gonna wait maybe 2 more weeks before putting in the nice blue carpet though

 

sunrooof???? i work at a dealer ship, cars come in 24/7 with sun roof drains and clogged windshiled drains etc.

 

nope...but im stumped on what it could be. windshield drain???
enlighten me
