Waikiki Lightning
Well was a pretty nice lightning show tonite. I decided to try and snap some pics of it and after 1200+ pics I only got about 5 with any lightning at all. Of course during the delay between snapping pics there would be massive cloud-to-cloud and ground strikes. Oh well, the joy of photography. Also had a lousy shooting location, tons of light pollution, but was something to do I guess. Here are a couple sorta lousy shots, but a couple bolts in em...
Anyone know a good lookout over Waikiki? I drove the whole damn St Louis Heights and all views are blocked by houses. Cant believe there isnt one place here to park and shoot pics. Tantalus woulda been nice.

Thanks guys. Shoulda seen some of the shots I missed. So frustrating. Oh well. Atleast I can shoot 1200 pics and not have to worry about not getting anything. The JOY of a digital SLR.
Putting the pics up at:

Had to reduce them a bit since I shoot at 4000x3000 they were about 25megs each. So they are like 1900x1280 or so now. Do with them as you will. Hopefully another less destructive storm will come by again and I can try for some better pics.
Sorry to everyone who had so much trouble with the flooding.

Got the first 3, the last one doesn't seem finished yet... But it could be because you're still uploading it.
