I haven't driven in anger yet so I don't really know what the car is going to do.
so you running the 12/10s now? So thats roughly 671lbs/in and 559lbs/in.

Im sending you a pm on set up. I know its going against conventional wisdom and what everyone is doing to their cars but trust me on this, my MR2 is proof.

That's a good idea. Then all i have to do is adjust air pressures, LMAO.

wow, How high are you going to go on spring rates anyway?

I was thinking about a 10/10 front and rear spring rate on an old gc chasis would be pretty stiff and yet still controllable. More rotation than normal due to the higher rear wheel rate but not impossible. Much more than that (perhaps 12+) and I'd think you'd be running on tire for suspension travel.

Im setting the car up with NO swaybars.

Im designing a system that uses the springs to control roll, while using the dampers to control the springs. What a concept huh!?! The car will be a no compromise Auto-x car so im designing it that way.

So getting back to your post, yes 10kg f/r might be fine for a multi-use car, our project will be different, well..maybe in the suspension department, lol.

Cool, I was thinking about doing that for the s14 or even the mr2, but I daily drive both, and don't like the idea of pissing blood every time I go to work...

I actually like the idea of not compromising on sway bars (as a band aid) but usually like you said, it requires high spring rates and good damper adjustment to balance/tune the car.

Anyway, good luck on the new car, just let me ride with you guys when it's done.

You hit it right on the nail. If you DD the car you cant really tune it the way you want it for auto-x, Sux. With this car, hopefully we can build it to the extent of the rules, so im thinking DSP first N/A then EM after it is turbo'd 2,557,122 years from now but i have to talk to Fran on the direction he wants to go first.

Ride? Come on, you KNOW you driving this car. Its a given, you are one of the few people that dont have to ask to drive, just get in the beyatch. lol.
