Vakamon

Thanks to Ryan, Farid, and everyone at Vakamon for their help today on my STI pink bits. Seems I've joined an elite club that have severly cracked the box section of the 6-piece bits. Ryan welded some healthy steel plates to the sickly area and I could feel the difference immediately. Night and day. And yesterday Farid bought everyone steaks and salad! Thanks again!

You're

welcome. Just trying to Ryan and Vakamon. It's a vicious circle when people help each other.

Sorry,

no pics. But the STI pink bits box sections were not pretty ( seriously damaged). Some people think it's because I drive aggressively (who me?). If you've ever seen the box section, it's very thin where the endlinks connect. Poorly designed IMHO. Ryan's plates look very, very strong. The plates were at least twice as thick, maybe three or four times as thick. I had Tein Flex shocks (5/5), Cusco sways, and street tires before that saw serious track days with no problems. Been running R-compound tires, Hotchkis Competition sways/endlinks, and Zeal V6 coilovers (10/8). That seems to be the difference. I have been known to enter a corner a bit warm. Again, thanks Ryan. I owe you again.

Thx Ryan for a "job" well done. The car feels real good in all aspect of handling. The ride is not bouncy at all nor harsh. It's only harsh when I pound it at "higher" speed. Oh yeah, I think I definitely have an exhaust leak... I might have to see u again Ryan...

"help" would have been a good word to put before "Ryan". Damn Fosters. Pat, I would guess about 3-4 oz. on each rear corner was added. But since I replaced the "heavy" Cusco sways front and rear with the Hotchkis competition sways, I still come out ahead. But you're right, I'm always looking at weight.

Cool. Sorry, I forgot to look at the exhaust. The joint between your second cat and the exhaust looks kinda sketchy though.
