updated Vishnu reset

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Plugging the two green connectors together in an '02 and up WRX will put the ECU into a type of diagnostic mode. ECU will be reset and fans and CEL will cycle on and off. After unplugging the connectors and restarting the car everything will be fine expect for the ignition advance multiplier will be at ZERO, not the usual 8 or the best-for-performance 16 that the Vishnu Reset induces.

That's just like disconnecting your battery.

You would still have to perform the "vishnu reset" afterwards to get the ignition advance multiplier to acceptable (highest) levels.

It's easier popping the hood and busting out a wrench though.

Just remove the (-) lead and hold down the brake pedal for 15 sec's to purge any remaining voltage out of the system. Done.
