Up/Down Pipe Install

Up/Down Pipe Install
Hey guys just put my up and down pipe on yesterday. It was fairly easy. It took about 5 hours taking my sweet @$$ time. I only ran into one problem, one of the nuts and bolt that connects the passenger side exhaust manifold to the driver side came from the factory mistreaded <---(i think thats the correct word to use. Well any way i was forced to snap the bolt in two to get it off. Which in turn since this is my only car I had to walk 2 miles up the road and back to the city mill in Mililani to get a replacement bolt/nut. I love the new added power from this upgrade. Also does anyone know what part to trim off of the turbo heat shield? Any pics would be great ? Thanks in ahead guys?

Wow your good! It takes us around 5 "i-club" hours to that install.
Install brake down in I-club hours.
1) Wait 4 hours for vrod to show up.
2) 2 hours of me and Rexstang talking ****
3) 1 hour of prep-work to get the car ready
4) 1 & 1/2 hours to go to exhaust systems hawaii to have something fixed
5) 5 hours to get the install done
6) 3 hours of BBQ'ing after the install.

Did you get the "WRX Owners" Discount from the guys at City Mill? Or did they just give you stupid looks like the ones I got. After the initial tightening down for my upper uppipe bolts, I have had no problems. I may have a small leak, but once the car warms up, it's all good. A City Mill emergency fix seems to be pretty effective.
Congrats on a fast install (by yourself ) and hope you enjoy the new power.

actually Farreed down at speed gear told me it was not necessay to replace the gaskets so i didnt. I was going to but i really did not want to wait any longer for gaskets (you know know how it is guys when your anxious) well I just check the install this morning after driving the car last night and not one leak maybe i'm lucky or maybe Fareed knew what he was talking about who knows. well gotta run guys........LATERZ!

well it looks like you guys have fun when you install. as for me when your by yourself and know one to b.s. with you tend to get the job done faster. to be honest i thought i moved pretty slow considering i have heard of people doing it in 2-3 hours. well next i plan on installing my boost and a/f guage. i'm still a bit confused though the plumbing the auto meter guage comes with seems to be not that secure. I followed the instructions to a T and it seems like that stupid slides in and out of its hardware. any suggestions?
