TurboXS Exhaust

All,

Will the TurboXS Turbo Back full exhaust system install properly in the 04 STi??

If so, where should I order this puppy?? I'm looking into ordering my system this week. Right now I was going to order from Mach V Motorsports.

http://www.fastwrx.com/exhaust.html

It costs $1185 with the Ti-Tip. What you think?? Feedback will help alot.

Yeah, it's my understanding that WRX and STI exhausts are interchangable.

You can find TXS at most of the Subaru performance parts retailers. MachV is a pretty good one, though.

Another thing you'll have to worry about w/ a TBE on an STI is boost creep check this thread out:https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...15&pagenumber= any others in the STi forum for more info.

I remember reading somewhere about the STi's O2 sensor not reaching the O2 socket on some WRX turbo backs. Easy to fix, but something to be aware of.

Yes this is true, but w/ a simple snip of a clip and vwolla no more problem.

The creep

Ok,

I read the post on the boost creep caused by the TBE. I'm in a bind right now...what should I do. I want to get this exhaust but looks like I need work on the Wastegate to be ported...I have no clue what this piece is and where to get it fixed. I guess I will continue to bide my time on purchasing the TBE at this time and maybe get a few other mods instead. Any comments??

After purchasing my TBE, I think it would have been a better choice to go with another type. If I was to do it over again, I would have gotten the Cusco DP with the Cusco Ti exhaust system or a Fujisubo one. Not only it would cost a bit less, the TBE didn't look like it was better than the Cusco DP/Ti or any Fujisubo one.

If you wouldn't mind being w/ out your car for about a week send your turbo off to deadbolt to get your wastegate ported. If you can't be w/o your car i recommend just getting a cat back. If you get the P&P+ TBE and run stock boost you'll never have to worry about boost creep, but if want to run any type of boost contoller at 16 psi or more you will not be able to run a manual boost controller since you will still have boost creep in 5th&6th gear. Good luck w/ your decision.
