Turbo issues
Ok, so I have an 04' wrx. Deatchwerks injectors, walboro pump, FP 68HTA turbo, perrin up, Invidia down. Halman MBC (20 psi), Cobb AP with PDX OTS map. The car runs like crap. Won't hit full boost until like 5000rpm and makes kind of a chugging sound. Once it hits boost it only stays in for a moment. Frustrating after I've spent so much and installed everything myself. Hopefully someone else has already gone through this and can point me in the right direction. Thanks

Unless that is the specific list of parts that the OTS = Off The Shelf map was made for, it ain't going to work, and really you shouldn't be driving it.
See if they can do an internet tune with the AP, I don't think that's possible though. So your best bet would be to either drive something else until Jarrad gets here in March, or ditch the AP and go opensource, and have them do an internet tune for it.

I concur with Ryan.
I am willing to bet it's a 68 hta map just to get the car started so you can atleast have a daily driver. Years ago when jarrad sent me a 18g ots map I barely hit 18psi. This was a good thing considering you don't want to blow your motor without a proper tune.

What boost is the map set for? Are you shooting past that pressure?
An MBC has no control over boost over rpm and so the map may have fuel cut set at something like 19 psi
You should send back logs and ask them rather than post here
It's not fair if you don't consult them first
Dont self diagnose without contacting them first.

The first thing I did was contact PDX and sent them a log. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something else. I don't want to blame the tuning if something else is wrong. Just hoping someone else went through the same thing.

Might be possible to hold 20 to redline with the 2.0.... But really it is a nonissue here. I would check for vaccum leaks. The fact that you can reach target boost only momentarily leads me to believe that.
You can make a homeade leak tester with a PVC pipe and a shraeder valve set into it.
The chugging sound could be compressor surge? Would really need to hear it to be sure.

Does sound like either a boost leak or a bad map like the above said. Check your plugs, they'll tell you some of the story behind what's going on. If they're black on the electrodes, chances are it could be running rich from a boost leak or the fuel/timing map not matched with your setup.

Re-tightened everything, swapped the intercooler y-pipe back to stock. Same thing. I guess I'll go back through and make sure for like the third time that everything is plugged in. Could it be that the wastegate isn't closing all the way? How would I test this?
