Tracks tonite...

Was pretty good. Nice and cold out, was just me, russ, mario, and a bunch of guys with STI's that I don't know. S2K Joey and San came down later. I ran twice...13.8 first time around. My second run though I lined up with the "Viper Guy" he was out with his race Viper tonight in all of it's supercharged/caged goodness.....cracked out a 11.464 @125 ! to my 13.7@97 NUTS !!! He trapped though the 1/8 (99.98mph) faster than I did the 1/4

That was my first time out to the

drags. Me and my boy had a good time. It was tempting to run.

San,

Welcome to yet another facet of your car. Probably something you wouldn't want to go apesh*t like a few of us have, but it can be pretty exciting.

... another thing to think about for you EBC guys, .... it's not like throwing on a manual boost controller, setting it, and forgetting it.
You have to tune the controller (or "set it up"), and it will 'hurt' your acceleration if it's not set up properly.

whoa 25!? In the manual it says not to exceed 15 on a stock turbo, but I wouldnt be able to say what would happen if you did go higher than 15. I run in manual and I've got my highest channel between 55-63. 63 takes me up to boost cut so I dont use that setting to often. 55 will give you a pretty good boost bump (15lb's then feather of to about 14 pounds) and this is the setting I use at the track.

Thanks for making this thread, Steve.

I've officially hung up the spurs on my horse and have sworn off racin' my car down the 1/4. I'm an old enough veteran to know that if you race your car on a regular basis it's not IF something will break, but WHEN - and I'm too poor to fix the car if ANYTHING breaks.

Since my drag racing days are over - I am going to live vicariously through your posts/exploits.

I'm also going to be the biggest ankle-biter when Pat's car gets done with the 6-speed and some nitrous!

I can't wait to see Chibby's car live up to it's potential (if it don't run 11's I'll be stunned/disappointed) and there are LOTS of stage 4 cars on this island that really should be running 12's really soon (no reason why they're not now).

Subies, REPRESENT!
