damon: hope u get the STi fixed up...and get running in the 13's again...was nice meeting you...

jeff: congrats on your 14.6 run!!!

hmm...the night was pretty good...saw a semi run the quartermile...that was awsome...he ran like 26's?...hahaha...the other funny thing about that night was when the el camino smeared this integra...but the camino just taunted the integra by slowing down after his launch...hahhaha...and floored it towards the end....anyway, the weather was crap...my launches were crap...i had a full tank of gas (stupid heavy car)...and my times, i dont wanna mention...i'm out

14.397 @ only 89mph..... damn, is that due to the torque? 1.164 may be off though, but the rest looks right. wow. noice run!!

Hehe, yup B, that low trap is due to "gas sucking torque"! LOL! My WRX used to trap at 94.xx mph when I did 14.3's!

I have a 5MT Forester. It's still stock, except for my i-club stickers. I think they helped w/my weight distribution, ha ha. But seriously, I've gotten other good launches, including a 1.5 and 1.6 second 60ft times in the past.

This particular run felt unusually good. I slipped the clutch at about 5K rpm, got NO wheelspin at all, and shot forward. I just shifted at about 6K rpm (and not at redline). I couldn't believe my time since I was running like crap all night and blamed the humidity.

I've also had another great launch, but misshifted 2nd, which ruined my run. I think Randy heard that awful sound all the way from the pits. *cringes*

As for the gearing, I feel that the FXT's gearing is pretty tight, especially 1st and 2nd. I go through those first two gears pretty quickly. The fact that i've got the extra low end torque offered by the 2.5L helps too. All my best runs depended ALL on the launch.
