Take off the BOV. Best I got w/ BOV was 13.56, but when I put the stock bpv on, i was able to get 13.43. Maybe it was the driving that made the difference, but still I got faster on stock than with my $250 sound machine.

Really unless you are making more boost than stock a aftermarket BOV is not going to do anything how can it? I have asked many people if you can show me where a BOV gives gains in HP then I'll buy one nobody has showed me yet so I still have the stock one.

I absolutley agree, but I don't think it is for HP gain. It is more to avoid damage to the engine. From what I hear the stock BOV can't handle over 19 PSI, but I am getting about 18.5 with no prob. I bet I will get over 19 when I actually get to punch it on the tracks.

When you decelerate (specifically, when you take your foot off of the pedal and the engine speed decelerates), the inertia of the exhaust gases causes it to be pulled back towards the turbine. If you didn't have a BOV, that mass of air would cause significant damage to the turbine blades. I believe that this phenomenon is called compressor surge.

For the 1/4 mile they don't care what kind of helmet you have. It could be a bicycle helmet for all they care.
