Toys for Tots 2011?
I was wondering if there will be an event this year that is automobile related? I want to take part again this year as I haven't done so for over 5 years. I didn't really get to meet many people but the last time I participated but it was one of the more memorable experiences I've had. I didn't grow up with much toys and I understand how important it is to the development of a child's imagination and creativity. All in all, I'm hoping that there will be something this year.
(there's always a motive)
Also I would like to propose a fundraiser for a UH nonprofit coed fraternity for a club meet + car wash thing that we may raise some funds while ultimately doing something for a good cause.

When: Sunday, November 27, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Where to meet: There is no central place to meet before cruising to the drop-off location. It will be up to each club to decide if they are going to cruise together to the drop-off location, or just meet at the drop-off location. Drop-off location: The drop-off location is at 100 Ohe St. in Kaka'ako (map). This is a large parking lot located across the street from the Children's Discovery Museum, close to Kaka'ako Waterfront Park. The Toys 4 Tots collection trucks will be in this parking lot. You can drop off your toys any time between 9:00 am and 12:30 pm.
What to bring: New, UN-wrapped toys, and if you're going to hang around for the Show and Shine: chairs, lunch, drinks, sunscreen, hat, tent, etc.
Who to contact: Steven Onoue - you can call him at 808-389-8640 or send him email.

There's going to be one as this event happens around Xmas season. I normally wait till the head of the campaign contacts me, then I just attend the meeting with all the different car communitys.

Hey! What a coincidence! I'm down for collecting money for car washes, on the condition that I don't wash cars.
I kid. But if this is a feasible event, I'm completely willing to make it happen. Also, I'm interested in getting involved and helping set up or whatever.
