Torque Converters
I was reading around and found some info that says that a modded or aftermarket TC would be a worthwhile mod for a auto. Any of you auto guys can back this up? How much would a mod like this run for? I would like to go to a manual trans but would like to investigate the capabilities of the 4eat. Not to mention that a manual trans swap may be costly.

yup, i ran 12s with my auto daily driving. Protorque www.protorque.com is on core exchange so you sent them your core and they send you a modded one. do a search i posted about this a lot
I also while we're on the subject still have a Level 10 valve body sitting at home that i need to get rid of.
these are not cheap though but since i have no use for it pm me if you're interested. if you change out your TC pearl harbor trans did mine but its pretty easy to do but i wouldn't do it if you don't know what you're doing... ask shaggy about that (thats another story and not for this thread, hehehe)
the valve body can be changed by yourself though but i would have this one serviced first before use. there is an internal trans filter that you SHOULD change if you plan on upgraded anything.

but before you get the valve body you have to get the torque converter modded... that makes the world of a difference. the valve body only helps with shifting.
