Tivo ROCKS!

Hey All,

Just wanted to let you know that the TIVO system and service just ROCK.

I HATE TV. Programs that is. I don't like sit coms, or dramas, but I *LOVE* motorsports/football/science related programming.

I hated to wade through TV schedules (digital cable gave me WAY too many channels to slog through) - and with the Tivo I now have season passes (essentially all the episodes) set to be recorded of:

Full Metal Challenge
Junkyard Wars
Monster Garage
WRC
Australian V8 Super Car Racing
Oakland Raiders games (home and away)
Hot Rod TV
Motor Week
Auto Week
Motor Trend TV
Dexter's Laboratory (Gimme a break, I'm a kid at heart )
Fast Lane (Gotta love FATF cars and Tiffany Thiessen! )

Plus - with my "upgraded turbo" sitting in a box right next to my computer desk my car isn't that much fun to drive anymore anyway.

Until I figure out what to do for altered atmosphere I'm going to be a speed channel addict!

No word yet. Just giving Alex / Imprezer some breathing room. Don't want to put the squeeze on him during the holidays. I'm getting boost-defient anxiety though.

P.S. Tried to PM you back from the last time and your box was full. Lost my 2-page reply and that killed my fight.

Richard,

I know I've got nothing to do with this, except that I'm seeing a friend get a rough break.

If it were me, I'd be on the telephone until I were able to get an answer, yes or no. "Yes Richard, I'll replace your turbo for you", or "no, dude. I can't help you."

It's nothing personal, it's business. I'm certain that he hasn't seen your posts or received your voicemails. That's probably why you haven't received an answer back.

Pat

(now is that tact or what? )

Hey Richard, I think on Toms Hardware there was a way to upgrade your hard drive using some freeware software to replace the bios bootblock of the old drive to the new one. Just think you could buy one of those 200GB drives and have days of pr0n recorded

Thanks, Guys!

If I don't get any PM's from Alex by tomorrow I'll be on the horn. I'd like to at least know where I stand so I can figure out if I need to buy a new turbo (THAT won't be happening for QUITE a while) or if I need to box this one up and send it back to him...

Richie,

OMG! Almost forgot JGTCC... I can't find it in the TIVO guide... Anybody know when the first episode will be aired? I can tell Tivo to record anything that's like that as long as I'm watching it to begin with...

Mitch,

Saw some upgrade patches as well. Guys are running 2x 120gb hard drives to get 306 hours of DVD quality recording from digital cable. NUTS!

Erin bought me the AT&T Series 2 Tivo which is $249.00 but she got a $50.00 rebate so she was out $199. There's also a $12/month service fee - but WAY worth it. Lovin' it!

I'm watching "Two Guys Garage" that my Tivo recorded for me while I was at work today (without me asking). TOO COOL.
