Where do us Hawaii folks get our tires from? From what I've seen in quotes, they're very expensive here. I haven't taken a look at Kumho Hawaii on their Escta Supras yet. The ones I'm currently looking at are:

Sumitomo HTR+(looks and seems like to be a good all season performance tire)

Falken Azenis Sport(Like the design, reviews, but wet traction is a con)

Bridgestone Potenza S-03(expensive as hell though)

Kumho Escta Supra(don't know where you guys get it from)

But my main constraint is cost. I don't want to spend too much money for tires but I want something thats quality since those are the parts holding up the car. Which means..the S-03s, unless I get a good deal on them, are pretty much out of the picture. If I was to pay that much for a tire, I rather go with the BFG g-force tires.

Whats a good price to pay for each of those tires and what are your recommendations? This is for a daily driver, honestly I don't get much time to go autox or drag anymore due to work but I want good performing tires since they're the difference between good and bad grip. I don't want to regret getting a cheap tire because I wasn't gonna drive them hard as much as I want to.

I am currently running Yokohama ES100s. So far so good. Car is still being broken in so no hard runs yet. I have had really good experiences with the Bridgestone RE-730s (now replaced with RE-750) very good all-around tire. I expect the RE-750s to be much the same. Like you I was considering price and went with the Yokohamas which were $107 per tire plus tax and shipping.

go to the tire rack, pick your tires, and have them shipped to eurosport to do your mounting. tire rack has the cheapest tires i've seen around, including shipping and list eurosport as an authorized mounter.

i have to agree w/ yuzo about tire rack i got my kumho MX's for 428.00 w/ shipping. and i would definately not go local when getting tires unless you got a hook up. i talked to the local kumho distributors of hawaii they couldn't even get me MX's but they said they could get me the supra's for like 113 a tire . im pretty sure tirerack has em for like 70 a tire + 60 bucks shipping for all 4 tires to hawaii.

cant go wrong with tire rack. And those Yoko's are good tires. Although they tend to roll over a bit too much for my taste, but hey, you cant beat the price from Tire rack!

S-03's are the best all around street tire I've ever had the pleasure to drive/race, in all conditions (in Hawaii).

how about taking a look at the KDW-S. those have some nice stiff sidewalls and great all around traction+ they went down a couple bucks for being a best seller on tire rack.

I have to agree with Mike and after a lot of debating I decided I would replace the current tires on my STi (once they wear out) with S03s. I did like Falken Azenis Sports, but they were loud and also wore a lot quicker.

I've run several different tires ranging from TOYO's, SO-3's, NITTO 555 and the R versions, KUMHO Escta's and my suggestion is to run the Falken Azeniz Sports. I'm currently running these on the street and Kumho V700's for SCCA. Opposed to what most people say, the grip in wet conditions w/ AWD is sufficient and when it's dry they rock for the price. I pick mine up from Eurosport. You may want to check around. The only real draw back is that they are heavy. Just keep in mind that the balance of price and grip is there. If you have any doubts, you could always ride w/ me in the rain.....heheheheheehe.

How much are the Azenis Sports locally? I'm trying to hit the under 129 mark. The 712's ARE sufficient for me and I'm not looking into paying more than twice for tires.

It really depends on what size you need. Plus, if you have any hook ups. I know that Travis guys at Hyper ship in quite a bit, and I believe they are authorized dealers. Check w/ them.
