After reading all the posts, talking to people "in the know", and now reading the reply from FP I think that the most obvious solution is to disregard what this "TAIWAN TURBO" user says. It seems to me that I know at least 5 people running some sort of FP turbo with no issues EVER. I know Dan had a problem with his, but before we pass judgement on FP, lets see how they respond to Dan's issue.
The only reason I am posting this is because it seems wierd to me that 1 guy who NOBODY knows is stirring up so many questions about a company that has sold thousands of turbos and have a reputation as 1 of the best turbo builders out there.
This TAIWAN TURBO guy has been kicked off/banned from at least 2 messages boards for slandering people. Seems to me that this is not the kind of person that I would listen to, much less take turbo advice from. I prefer my parts company of choice to be professional, and courteous NO MATTER WHAT.
This is just my $.02. I just want everyone to remember that the internet is an easy place to start rumors and stir up some resentment of a person/place/company. Before any of us in HIIC start passing judgement on FP, lets see how Dan's issue plays out. If FP is as good as they say they are then they should do the right thing and fix/replace Dan's turbo.
Disclaimer: I do not own ANY FP parts. I have never talked to anyone at FP. The only reason this topic is of any importance to me is because I think we should wait to pass judgment until we have facts, not just 1 disgruntled competitors opinion.

Again, it's not about FP is bad and hurts children-it's about where the parts come from. That's all I am talking about, and it's got nothing to do with anything else. Now FP has a disclaimer about how some "castings" come from taiwan on their web page.
I'm not disgruntled with anyone but the idiots who actually make these taiwan turbos. The turbos are hit or miss, and they lie a lot. Like I have said before, I don't know anyone at FP, nor have I done business with them.
From what I understand, they are a good company and have great customer service. For the rest, look at the link.

Whose turbo surged and died? Keep in mind, even 100% geniune mitsubishi turbos have their problems at times, it's just how the cookie crumbles....

I got kicked off NASIOC because I had the audacity to tell the mods, via PM, that they were being unfair. I posted the link to the last thread I started on NASIOC, the one that was the nail in the coffin. There were mods in the thread that totally hijacked me, and I wasn't happy.
I got kicked off WRXTUNERS because I posted the exact same thread as I linked to. In fact, I posted the exact same thing on here, word for word, and didn't get banned.
I got kicked off EVOLUTIONM for the same reason-I dared to post something about the beloved Forced Performance, who can do no wrong for some reason, and simply was kicked off.
Get your facts straight, and look up what the word slander means. If I was making up things just to screw FP, that would be slander. I'm not making up anything.

personally i agree with FP in that they are only doing what the people want....and that is making turbos (yes i said MAKING TURBOS) that the average guy can afford and that performs as they should. it shouldn't matter where the parts come from, hell do you know where your refrigerator was made? or your lawn mower? or your shoes? all that matters is that the customer gets a turbo that performs and i think that anyone who is going to mod to that extent is taking a chance with getting a bad part here or there. thanks Taiwan Turbo for informing us that FP gets it's housings from Taiwan, thats what you wanted to say and we all now know that is where they came from. i'm sure that those people who care where every part on their car comes from will be happy to know now. it's time to let it go. as far as i've seen FP makes turbos that perform and perform well. alot of the forester guys use them and have nothing but good things to say about them. there is no proof that these housings are any better or worse than ones made in japan so again, lets let this die. Thanks FP for being a respectable vendor and getting the people what they want. thats what makes a good vendor, a great vendor. should i feel the need to upgrade i'm def going with an FP. oh and i don't have any FP parts or ties to the company in any way. GL FP and keep it up. BTW fix dans turbo soon so we can have another dyno day

WERD. cmm929 and 91sleeper pretty much summed up all my sentiments. Forced Performance will have my business if and when i decide to boost bigger. Let's put this MuthaFatha to bed......
