I believe that this is the information that you are all looking for:
November 27, 2005 Sunday
10:00AM Starts
11:30AM Ends
MARTIN WAREHOUSING TOYS FOR TOTS CARAVAN sponsored by Martin Warehousing & Distribution. The event is expected to have 200 vehicles. It will start at Magic Island Parking Lot, to Ala Moana Park Dr., to Ala Moana Blvd., to Kalakaua Ave., to Monsarrat Ave., end at Paki/Monsarrat Lot. Contact: Jeff Cadavona 696-4589
Make sure to call Jeff Cadavona to "register" your group.
Though, if it was like last year, please be careful. No escorts and several of us got tagged by cops that were waiting on the sides.
Best wishes in your planning.

No thanks for the contact info but thanks for the date!
We really don't want to be running with other caravans...it makes it all a mess.
Guys, about getting tagged...if you have a non-reconned car you should BYPASS the portion where we go through Waikiki and just go straight to the next stop...give someone your toy to put in the bin.

No prob.
Good advice in meeting somewhere else versus driving through Waikiki. If and BIG IF...there is an escort...then maaaaaayyyybe. But I really really doubt that there will be one. Thus a separate meeting place is highly recomended.
You guys always have a large turn out....best of luck again this year and speed safe.

OHhhhhh but they have. I believe 2 of us got tagged last year. Was the first time police bothered us....but still it sucked considering the purpose on why we were there.
Technically you are supposed to be "registered", but when there is no police escort....then it really doesnt matter. Traffic breaks you up and there is a little bit of confusion with all of the cars and the tourists in Waikiki. If you guys always made it through...then that really is a feat in itself.
The group is supposed to be working on getting an escort....but I doubt that will happen. Someone needs to sponsor the event to pickup the City and County bills to provide the police officers and all. Cost is like 11 thousand for the entire escort service. LOL....perhaps I should use a different phrasing. Anyhow, hopefully the sponsor " Martin Warehousing & Distribution" covers the cost of the escort.
The last time it was escorted...it was a breeze. No hassles and everything went really fast and easy.
Anyhow....as mentioned good luck and drive safe.
