New or Used?

Are they the second Gen Flex's or the 1st Gen with the 5kg/5kg springs?

I have the older gen and they ride pretty nice...I have to wire in my EDFC to figure out what settings they are at right now...the motors are on but no wiring yet...

I guess you really have to ride in someone elses to compare...it's hard to diagnose from a description...one persons bouncy may be anothers smooth...

Show up to one of the meets on Thursday night and mention this...I'm sure someone will step up...

Car Info: .
im riding on flexes also. 04 sti. edfc settings at 8 in the front and 6 in the rear. spring rates are 10 kg.

as to your question, yes they are pretty bouncy even at the "middle" setting i have now. when i put the edfc to 3 (the lower the number the softer the ride), the car feels more solid than stock. i think youre experiencing a major jump from a wrx ride to a stiffer than stock sti ride.

Car Info: 2008 Legacy 3.0R 3L H-6 RIP :( Hello 09 FXT!
i have the flex on my 04 wagon, it's stiff, but it's to be expected from coilovers... the only way we can help you is to meet up with us, maybe at a "meat", so tein owners could give you some advice

If you're sitting in the drivers seat... from left to right is how your camber adjustments on the top of coilover should be. If it's not then you need to reinstall your coilovers for the front. the rears doesn't matter.

do you have english instructions: if not then you'll need this: http://www.tein.com/ti/inst/6s66u.pdf

Just for the record... Tein does NOT set their coilovers to the "hardest" setting from the factory. Please read the installation guide again if you haven't done so.

if you turn the **** to the left you're making the ride "softer" = more bouncy if you turn it to the right you're making the ride "harder"

the manual also mentions what settings should and shouldn't be used.

If you don't have the ENGLISH manual then the link is posted above.

Hope this helps

Jon
