Talk me into buying an Xbox...and asst. thoughts about GT4
I believe that I have completed everything there is except for about 90% of the challenges...which I'm having some tremendous problems with.
I like the challenges from the standpoint that it really forces you to drive the car no matter how well tuned it is, however, I think I'm still more of an instinctual driver and so I suck in the challenges. It takes me a good amount of time to figure brake points and lines for each track (which obviously change for each car as well.)
Anyhow, I already have the Rallisport 2 game for Xbox, since my roomate in AFG had an Xbox, but I'm very interested in Forza.
How much of it is easy and how much is damn near impossible?
How many features does it have that GT4 doesn't have?
Any other thoughts will be appreciated. BTW, I don't care much for any other type of game beyond racing.

sorry that i can't give you some info on forza yet... but i can vouch for xbox in general... i have gpmoto series, the colin mcrae series, the toca race driver 2-
i think most people agree that the xbox is superior in overall power, memory and graphics-
another selling point is that you can mod it and store tons of games and movies on your hard drive-
as far as controllers go- i really like the 2 triggers on the xbox controllers- they are pressure sensitive and in most racing games it directly correlates with the sensitivity of the gas and brake pedals-
ok. enuff- i'm a geek.

xbox = halo 2 = forza motorsports = lots of fun
if you got the money to spare, then get it. the xbox live feature is a lot of fun too.
GT4 is great, ESPECIALLY with the logitech GT4 steering wheel. *rawr*

Forza looks hot, but not an Xbox fan.
if you're jonsing for another racing game, try Enthusia. i picked it up while in NY and haven't played it yet. looks like a good game with huge emphasis on driving skill and style. the manual tells you to practice driving styles with the clutch. i'll let you know how it is if i can stay up past 4pm to play it

I've seen quite a few pros & cons wrt GT4. I really like it. Unfortunately, I've gotten to the place where I don't think I'm going to be able to accomplish much more.
I like xbox, but whatever it is that is better than the PS2 must go over my head. I like it about equally as well as the PS2.
Is Enthusia a PS2 game?
I can't wait for xbox 2 because there's no way in hell I'm paying full price. I'm going to find a used xbox somewhere and go to town. That or I may just head down to blockbuster tonight and rent one.

I have Forza and GT4. I will say Forza is better. Damage on vehicle, custom painting, bodykits and accesories that have meaning, weather plays a part. You can either turn the game up in difficulty to make it challenging before a race and when you turn it up you get more money in the long run. But I would get it. The STI actually sounds like one.

I wasn't either a big fan of Xbox. But It grew on me and I endup buying it.
Xbox is a pretty good game system compare to the PS2 and GC.
Only problem with the Xbox... not much good game as the PS2.
But very good system to mod and make a Divx/Game/minipc Station.

Alright. Went and bought an Xbox for $129. I went and rented Forza and Enthusia. I really like this Forza game, but distinguishing between it and GT4 is like distinguishing between the STi and the EVO.
That Enthusia game starts off pretty weak. Maybe I played the Forza too long. Hopefully it gets better with a little time.
Ed, have you played TOCA2 on PS2 and xbox? I've got it for PS2, and even though I haven't gotten too far, I think I've gotten about as far as I can.
Hxllxman, how did you mod your xbox?

Just get a chip online + an bigger hard drive ( 200 - 400 GB ).
Install a new bios + dashboard and voila... pretty simple if you have computer knowledge.
