i actually have something like this planned for mid-july. to take my suby on top of Haleakala. but if we can do it as a group, that would be more awesome...i'm down, but it all comes down to the actual date.

I heard it was illegal to "convoy" on the outer islands. Can anyone confirm this?
BTW this was always something i wanted to do.

We have "convoyed" on our past 2 previous cruises. As long as it's not a runumhard type cruise. I'm from Maui and can show you guys around.

There are a lot of driver's roads on Maui. Grip runs up the crater is good. I have a few secret spots that I frequent. The winery road is also good.

Hana is nice, but a lot of the bridges are single lane.

I've been thinking of hitting up the track there as well.

We just need to remember to fill up our tanks before we get there

Jess you know that my guys and I have been also planning on going up in late august early sept. the only problem is that the tower at there track is not ready yet. but when i find out when it opens I will hit ya up. actually i'mma call ya here soon.

also another thing is that the super ferry has a very hard time going back and forth threw rough seas. so you may wanna do the b4 the big surf rolls in.

Oh one last thing. 76 on king is doing 100octane gas again 8.50 a gallon tho so fill up b4 u head out

The dragstrip is holding it's annual Memorial Day races on the 24th of this month. The tower is ready.

I was planning to go to Maui via SuperFerry perhaps this summer. I used to live in Wailuku, so I have a house up there to crash at and work on my car. After I get my car correctly tuned, I want to see how I stand at the track. It's going to be strange driving my STi on another island.
