I've also run the Kumho ASX's and they're good tires as well. Fairly inexpensive, good tread wear, and decent in the rain. I personally don't care for the SS595's (Super streets or whatever they're called). I've run them or bought wheels that had them on, and they're too noisy IMO. I've heard great things about the Evo 595's though.

pm if u want the costco connection
costco will do aftermarket wheels so long tire thats on the vehicle meets the OE load index, cant be low profiles with lower then OE load index
like a 91v you cant use a 87Y tire, since the load index doesnt meet the factory specs of 91 load range
RE760 are nice but from my experience they dont last that long most of the Bridgestones dont last very long on hawaii roads

Are you serious about the RE760? That's the tire I'm gonna get. What would you say is the average miles I can get from them? Hoping to get at least 20k out of them. Just daily driving, no autox or nothing.

When I first bought my wheels, i got Kumho ASX on them and they were okay. The wet traction was lacking imo. When they wore out, I got Hankook Ventus Evos. The Hankooks seem to be a lot better wet or dry. Even thought they are a "summer" tire, I feel that they handle better in the wet than the all-season Kumho tires. The Hankook tires are quieter than the Kumhos too. The only downside to the Hankooks is that the treadwear is lower and they cost about $25 more per tire, but that's to be expected for a better tire.

With the price point of the Hankook, seems to be the best buy of the bunch since its competitive with the likes of Advan, Michelin, and Bridgestones.
I usually stay away from no name brands, but since having Kumho MXs at one time and liking them, Ill try the Hankook next time around...

Specifically, you guys in HI may not realize that "all-season" tires don't mean that they're better for rain but really that they can handle Dry, Wet, and LIGHT SNOW. Basically, they're for the people on the mainland that don't need dedicated winter tires but do see a little snow here and there. Summer tires are the absolute way to go for all cars in HI as long as they are made to handle water (so not the close-to-r-comps).

RE760 is the entry level tire comes with no mileage warranty not much "meat" on that tire, 20k i could see but not over 20k miles... a customer had them on a BMW 5 series tire was completely bolohead in 6k miles! rear tires of the bmw
just remember you get what you paid for....
if u want the bridgestones i would do the RE 960s little more wear on those, the Grid 019 are okay as well but not very good traction tire though...
RE050 040 etc are super high performance but they wear super fast as well...

They sold me a larger set of tires... but I kinda tricked them.
When I ordered my original tires from Costco, I did so online. But I had to enter my vehicle as an STI b/c it wouldn't give me any larger sizes for my LGT (I believe stock tires were 215/45/17).
They eventually figured out I didn't have an STI when they installed the tires but they didn't seem to care. I told them that was the only way I could have ordered a slightly larger set.

I throw in my .02 cents while i am it. Though everyone on hear can attest to their recommendations of tires, I would like to also include Hankook Ventus tires. They are great in wet conditions IMHO and arent that noisy at all as compared to the SS595's. Im running 225/45/17 on my bbs. Hell just for the hell of it, if I was rocking your rims, id put 255 for kicks lol.

Eh. my 2cents as well. I've run many sets of tires. The S-drives were not really good in the rain IME. Downright scary, i've caught near spinouts on several occasions. The best tire I have found to date is RE-11's. Pay a lot, but get a lot. Great rain tire, and awesome dry tire. I have only one concern, when you run it past the wear bar, rain can be spooky.
OP- you need to state your budget for tires. RE-11's won't last long as most other tires, but will stick the best. There has to be a balance, unless like me for you there are no substitutes.
And for good measure, just roll the fenders anyway. Then when you want to get those 17-18 x 9.5-11's you'll be ready, and one step closer to hella frushness
