Dear Mr. Lunsford:
Thank you for visiting the Subaru Website and for your inquiry.
We appreciate you taking the time to contact us so we can clear up any confusion
there may be regarding customizing your Subaru. The only accessories that we
recommend for Subaru products are those that are sold through authorized US
Subaru dealers.
We do not recommend the installation of any aftermarket parts in any of our
vehicles. Doing so, however, will NOT void your warranty. But, any problems
caused would not be covered by your warranty.
Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance by calling us at
1-800-SUBARU3 (1-800-782-2783).
Best wishes,
Kelly

As far as I hear is that we have the same policy as SOA.
The parts listed on the hit list was so the mechanics know what to look for,
if there was a question on a failure of a OEM part they would know what to blame.
If I am wrong then we are all in deep poo poo.
